About OMED Health
OMED Health is a dedicated, patient-centric brand and digital platform that will offer patients and clinicians access to breath-based diagnostic tests, point-of-care (PoC) devices, and support resources for a range of conditions.
We are currently focused on digestive diseases such as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), and carbohydrate malabsorption conditions like lactose intolerance. It is thought that a significant number of people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) have SIBO. With symptoms such as chronic digestive symptoms like abdominal pain, changes to bowel habits, bloating, and nausea, this can be very disruptive to everyday life and reduce quality of life substantially.
Our clinically-validated breath testing kits, and new portable breath analyzer will help individuals with gut health issues have an improved quality of life by enabling better, and faster, understanding and management of their conditions.

FAQs
What is OMED Health’s main goal?
People living with digestive health issues currently feel let down. They’re waiting years to get a diagnosis and have little choice but to live their daily lives in discomfort, with many turning to fad diets, supplements, apps, and devices that have little or no scientific basis. Through OMED Health, we are deploying our breath analysis technology, developed with the support of gut health experts, to provide people with a solution they can trust. Our aim is simple – helping the billion people globally with digestive health issues live normal lives.
What impact will this have for patients?
The OMED Health App is used within the clinical pathway, helping to aid diagnosis, response to therapy and on an ongoing basis. Visualization tools allow users and their doctors to start to see how symptoms are connected to diet and other factors through clinically validated biomarkers of digestive health hydrogen and methane. Breath testing can help doctors reduce patient uncertainty and help them feel more in control of their gut health and it is simple to perform, meaning that it can be done in the comfort of one’s home without any additional cost.
How much is the OMED Health Breath Analyzer?
A single device for a patient costs £250 including their initial Plan. You can find out more about our diagnosis and treatment costs here. The price of the device depends on several factors, such as the number of devices that will be required, and the context of how they are intended to be used. Please contact us about the affiliate programme.
Are the tests and devices available to the public?
Yes patients in Great Britain can purchase a device directly from us and work through Plans alongside an OMED Health doctor. We also work with GI Doctors, Allied Professionals and other businesses – helping them to help their patients to better gut health.
