The Problem

Find What’s Wrong and Fix It with Gut Reset+

Bloating, stomach pain, gas, fatigue, nausea and unpredictable digestion are common signs that something in your gut isn’t working as it should. For many people, these symptoms are caused by a build-up of bacteria in the small intestine (SIBO) or by difficulty digesting certain foods.

Using the OMED Breath Analyzer, you can discover from home whether your symptoms are likely caused by SIBO or food.

After identifying what’s driving your symptoms, your Gut Reset+ plan includes doctor-led treatment tailored to you, so you can start feeling better faster.

Testing

Find the Root Cause of Your Gut Symptoms with Breath Testing

The OMED Health Breath Analyzer measures hydrogen and methane in your breath. These gases are produced by gut microbes when they ferment food. By tracking these gases over time, you can see how your gut responds to different foods and uncover imbalances such as IMO and SIBO that may be driving digestive symptoms.

✓ Clinical-grade performance as accurate as hospital breath testing

Treatment Strategies

Antimicrobials

Your OMED doctor will develop a treatment strategy tailored to your test results and symptoms, designed to restore microbial balance. This may include formulations that contain carefully selected botanical extracts and plant-based ingredients that have been studied for their potential to reduce bacterial overgrowth and support gut health. Each treatment plan is delivered under clinical supervision, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and alignment with your dietary and lifestyle recommendations.

Treatment Strategies

Prescription Consultation

If your breath test results indicate an imbalance such as bacterial overgrowth, our clinical team will arrange a consultation to discuss your treatment options.

The cost of your consultation is included as part of the Gut Reset+ plan. During this appointment, an OMED doctor (UK registered) will review your results and determine whether prescription treatment is appropriate for you.

If medication is prescribed, it will be issued and dispensed through our trusted partner pharmacy. The cost of prescribed medication is not included in the plan and will vary depending on the treatment provided. Medication will be delivered directly to your door.

Throughout your treatment, our team will provide ongoing support and guidance tailored to your gut health needs. You can also use the OMED Breath Analyzer and App to help monitor your progress.

Treatment Strategies

Low FODMAP Plan to Find Food Triggers

The low FODMAP diet is a scientifically backed approach designed to help those with IBS and other digestive issues to find relief from their symptoms. This is not a long-term diet, it is a structured plan to help you pinpoint which foods trigger your symptoms.

Starting the low FODMAP diet can feel overwhelming and you should not undertake any dietary changes without advice and guidance from a healthcare professional. Our FODMAP plan is built so you can follow our step-by-step instructions, leading you through the diet and then reintroducing foods slowly without triggering your symptoms.

Recent evidence suggests that 61% of individuals experience symptom relief with the Low FODMAP diet1. For those who do not find relief, alternative therapies may be necessary. Therefore, it is essential to follow the elimination, reintroduction, and personalisation stages systematically.

I have suffered with bloating , nausea, fluctuance and reflux for the last 20 years, and have followed a low Fodmap diet for most of this time, mostly just keeping to a low dairy and low wheat diet. Three years ago I had major abdominal surgery, gynae and bladder related, recovery was tough and my stomach issues were highlighted even more , my GP ran a few tests and was unable to find the cause , even endoscopy reported no heitus hernia. I had heard about SIBO and decided to get myself tested via OMED , the initial test was via a breath test ,followed by a breath analyzer device. It was no surprise that my result was positive. OMED offer the complete package from diagnosis, treatment to recovery, for the treatment for SIBO. Step by step guidance, online courses and weekly Teams meetings with a nutritionist were very beneficial and the support from OMED customer care was very good. The key points for me offered by OMED was their personal approach enabling the treatment plan to be tailored for me specifically. It took me a while to master the home portable breath analyzer but was able to document my results, symptoms, and food on the app with ease. Overall I have been very satisfied with the services offered by OMED, especially the support from the nutritionist and that I'm now SIBO free, my symptoms have improved and I've actually managed to gain some weight.

The support from OMED Health has been fantastic helping me on my SIBO journey. The OMED app is easy to use, and it soon became second nature for me to log the data every day and complete the breath sample. The retests and programme have been simple to follow and the advice I have received has been superb. Thank you!

I have been suffering with my digestive health for 42 years - it's been quite a journey! Because my dad had a " funny tummy" most of his life and was undiagnosed I think I may have subconsciously thought that nobody could help me. I was finally diagnosed with IBS about five years ago, but my symptoms did not fit the typical pattern. But then I found OMED Health, what progress! A mind-blowing experience. I can still hardly believe that my life has changed after suffering for so long and I would urge anybody with similar doubts to give it a go.

FAQs

Find answers to your common questions about the Gut Reset+ plan.

What is Gut Reset+?

Gut Reset+ is a complete gut health plan that helps you identify and treat the root cause of your symptoms. It includes at-home breath testing with the OMED Breath Analyzer, doctor review, and a personalised treatment plan, all in one price. Once you have finished the plan you return the device.

In which countries is OMED Health available?

Diagnosis and treatment from OMED Health is available in the UK only. You can purchase an OMED Health Breath Analyzer outside of the UK to enable you to monitor your gut health, however you would need to find a local doctor who can assist with interpreting your hydrogen and methane scores and advise on the best treatment for you.

Do I need to visit a clinic?

No. The entire Gut Reset+ process is done from home. You’ll complete your breath tests using the OMED device, receive results digitally, and treatments are sent directly to your door. If a consultation with an OMED doctor is required, this is provided as a video call.

Who reviews my results?

All results are reviewed by UK registered OMED doctors with experience in digestive health. They interpret your data and recommend a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

Are treatments included?

Yes. Your Gut Reset+ package includes any consultation and treatment planning at no additional cost. Once your test results are reviewed, your OMED doctor will design a personalised treatment plan tailored to your gut health needs. If prescription medication is recommended as part of your plan, it can be ordered separately through our partner pharmacy and delivered directly to your home. This approach keeps the plan affordable while ensuring you receive exactly the treatment you need.

What if I need prescription medication?

If your results show that prescription medication is needed, the cost of your consultation and treatment planning is included in your Gut Reset+ programme. Any prescribed medication can be ordered separately through our partner pharmacy and delivered directly to your home for convenience. Your doctor will explain exactly what’s recommended and guide you through every step.

What is SIBO?

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) occurs when too many bacteria grow in the small intestine, where normally only a small number should be present. This can lead to bloating, gas, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or constipation, symptoms often mistaken for IBS

Why do I need to test for SIBO?

SIBO is a treatable cause of digestive symptoms. If you know you have it you can get onto treatment plans that will make you feel better – around 70–85 % of people with SIBO report relief from symptoms after after targeted treatment strategies, alongside dietary and lifestyle interventions

Can Gut Reset+ help with IBS or bloating?

Yes. Many people with IBS-like symptoms actually have bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or food intolerance. Gut Reset+ helps identify which is affecting you and provides a treatment plan to help you feel better.

Why isn’t one test always enough?

Digestive conditions can change. Many people retest after completing treatment to check if SIBO has cleared, during diet or lifestyle changes to monitor progress, or if symptoms return months or years later. Traditional kits are single-use, but the OMED Breath Analyzer is reusable, so you can test again without buying a whole new kit.

How does the OMED Breath Analyzer work?

You drink a special test solution (substrate) and use the device to collect timed breath samples. The OMED Health App guides you step by step. Your results are reviewed by experienced clinicians, who provide a clear diagnosis and next steps.

How accurate is the OMED test compared with postal kits?

The OMED Health Breath Analyzer has published performance data showing a mean absolute error of ~3.8 ppm for hydrogen and ~2.3 ppm for methane comparable with standard hospital breath testing. This accurate methane measurement is critical and is historically one of the most challenging gases to measure reliably at home. Because you’re not mailing samples, there’s less risk of loss or degradation, and the app reduces user error. Read more here.

Where can I see technical specifications and performance data?

We are committed to openness and transparency. All key performance specifications, including published accuracy data for hydrogen and methane and validation against hospital grade clinical breath testing, are provided below and in data presented at international scientific conferences.

How long does the test take?

The entire at home sibo test process usually takes about 2–3 hours, with breath samples collected every 15–20 minutes after you drink the test solution. Results are available quickly through the app.

What’s the difference between glucose and lactulose substrates for SIBO?

Why do I need to return the device at the end of the plan?

Returning the OMED Breath Analyzer at the end of your Gut Reset+ plan helps keep the overall cost of the programme low. If you’d like to keep your device for future testing, you can choose to purchase it at the end of your plan for an additional cost.
