What is included in a Prescription Consultation?
Our Prescription Consultation includes an online clinical assessment with one of our OMED doctors. After reviewing your medical history and breath test results, we’ll determine if a prescription is suitable for you. If approved, your prescription will be issued through our partner pharmacy and delivered directly at your door at no extra charge.
Who are the consultations suitable for?
Our consultations are suitable for adults experiencing ongoing digestive symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, or irregular bowel habits, or for those who have completed a breath test and are seeking expert-led treatment or follow-up support.
In which countries is OMED Health available?
Diagnosis and treatment from OMED Health is available in the UK only. You can purchase an OMED Health Breath Analyzer outside of the UK to enable you to monitor your gut health, however you would need to find a local doctor who can assist with interpreting your hydrogen and methane scores and advise on the best treatment for you.
Do I need to complete a breath test before booking a consultation?
If you’re seeking treatment for SIBO or IMO, we recommend completing a breath test first. Check our SIBO Test page for more information. If you’re unsure about your symptoms or haven’t been tested, you can still book a 1-to-1 Consultation for a clinical review and next-step guidance.
How quickly will I receive my treatment after the consultation?
Prescriptions are usually processed within 24 hours of your consultation, depending on pharmacy dispatch times. You’ll receive updates by email or text once your order has been processed and the treatment is on its way.
